What is a Facelift?

A facelift is a cosmetic procedure that can help you minimize the appearance of facial aging. Designed to tone and firm the facial skin, a facelift can help you minimize wrinkles, laugh lines, frown lines, crow’s feet and other facial grooves, as well as redefine the jawline and tighten neck skin. Also called “rhytidectomy,” a facelift involves the excision of excess skin along with tightening of the facial muscles which have become lax with time. At my practice, I also offer the mini-facelift, a procedure that is much like a full facelift with a smaller incision and a quicker healing time, and the mid-facelift, a similar procedure that concentrates on refreshing the triangular area formed between the two corners of the eyes and corners of the mouth.
