Orange County BOTOX ®
Newport Beach Botox ® Cosmetic treatment

newport beach botox treatments

When you age, you develop wrinkles and furrows on your face. This may be a result of sun exposure and gravity, or due to repeated facial expressions, such as smiling, laughing and frowning. Newport Beach surgeon, Dr. Savalia uses BOTOX ® Cosmetic injections to treat facial lines caused primarily by repetitive muscle movement. The ideal areas for treatment include the deep creases found between the eyebrows, crow's feet, and forehead lines. In addition to the upper face, Dr. Savalia specializes in treatment of the lower face with Botox.

BOTOX ® Cosmetic is the most popular and most commonly performed cosmetic treatment today, and has been safely used throughout the world.

Does BOTOX ® Cosmetic treatment hurt?

Most people find that the injections cause only mild, temporary discomfort. Dr. Savalia uses the absolute smallest needle possible to ensure your comfort during your treatment.

Will my face look "frozen" after the Botox treatment?

Dr. Savalia can tailor your treatment to ensure you retain some normal movement and expression in your face. In fact, the entire goal of the treatment is to retain your ability to show your natural expression with your eyebrows, forehead, and eyes, but lessen the ability of the muscles to create the deep furrows that lead to wrinkle formation.

Immediately after injection, there may be mild swelling which usually subsides in 4 to 24 hours. Side effects of BOTOX ® Cosmetic treatment are rare, but occasionally temporary drooping of the eyebrow or eyelid may occur. In the event this occurs, it may last up to a few weeks, but always subsides.

How many treatments will I need of Botox?

Injection of BOTOX ® Cosmetic has been shown to be very successful. Excellent results may be obtained after a single session and typically last for 2 to 4 months. Dr. Savalia recommends having the BOTOX ® Cosmetic injections every three months so that problem muscle areas gradually atrophy and shrink, allowing the wrinkles they cause to fade away. The key to successful treatment with Botox is to maintain the effect, so the problem muscles never have a chance to form permanent wrinkles.
